MBA  Women International University of Houston Chapter (formerly NAWMBA)

Mission

The Mentoring Program was established to build and nurture strong relationships between key leaders in today’s world and emerging talent in the workforce of tomorrow. By providing guidance, friendship and a role model, our mentors will help their protégés in career development, personal achievement and a successful work-life balance.

Vision

We believe that by encouraging the formation of strong bonds between mentors and protégés we not only empower program participants but allow them to achieve greater successes.

History
In 2008, NAWMBA's officers started the mentoring program with about 15 mentor-protege relationships.  The program was established to build and nurture strong relationships between key experienced leaders in today's world and emerging talent in the workforce of tomorrow.  The importance of each relationship is significant not only because of the impact that a mentor and a protege can make on each other, but also because of the bridge that they build with the organization and the C.T. Bauer College of Business.
Although the program is young, NAWMBA was awarded the Excellence in Leadership: External Relations Award during the Bauer College Leadership and Ethics Week 2009 for our 2008-2009 mentoring program.
